Many children in early years settings display challenging behaviour and it can often feel like, as a practitioner, you have tried every technique in the book and followed all the advice given. However, there is always something which can be done to improve the situation, it is just trial and error and patience to find the correct techniques to support the individual.

This course will enable staff to understand the challenges and varieties of behaviour for early years children and will provide strategies and techniques to help promote positive behaviour and deal with challenging behaviour in a supportive way.

The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. To have a deeper understanding of the reasons behind different types of behaviour
  2. To develop an approach to behaviour that teaches children about what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour
  3. To understand the power of strong relationships and positive words
  4. To improve understanding of theories behind behaviour

This course will ensure your practice is in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, The Early Years Framework and The Foundation Phase. It will also support your continuous professional development in line with the Early Years Teachers Standards.

Should you wish to discuss your needs before making a booking, please go via our live chat.

If you are an organisation and you have 5 or more learners who require the above training please consider our face to face options.
