Description & Learning objectives

As technology continues to play an increasingly important role in our daily lives, it is vital that those working with young children understand the potential risks and challenges associated with its use. 

This course aims to provide early years practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of e-safety, including the key issues, risks, and responsibilities involved in promoting safe and responsible use of technology amongst young children. 

By the end of the course, you will have gained the skills and knowledge needed to support young children's safe and responsible use of technology, both in your setting and at home.

The learning outcomes for this course are as follows:

  • To understand the risks and potential harm of young children accessing technology
  • To have a knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • To understand best practices for e-safety in early years
  • To know how to respond to e-safety concerns
  • To know how to support parents and families

This course is CPD accredited and adheres to Ofsted regulations and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
