The Power Of Play

Level 2 Country: England England CPD MINUTES: 90

If you have large groups of learners requiring this training we encourage the use of online training.

Description & Learning objectives

Embracing the power of play in early years education ignites children’s inherent curiosity, transforming everyday moments into opportunities for development. Experts worldwide recognise play as not simply an activity; it's a fundamental, engaging, and effective learning method. Playful experiences build a child’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and social growth. Play is not frivolous in the early years of education; it's instrumental. As practitioners, it is your role to harness this power and use it as a catalyst to facilitate children's exploration and understanding of the world.

The learning outcomes for this course are as follows:

  • To understand the power of play
  • To understand the role of the practitioner in play-based learning
  • To know how to incorporate the EYFS through play
  • To be aware of alternative models of play-based learning
  • To understand policies, procedures and best practices for play-based learning

This course is CPD accredited and adheres to Ofsted regulations and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
